3 reasons we're different from other homeschool providers.

To be honest, there are other homeschool providers that can give you amazing content, lots of workshops, and help you meet your homeschool goals.

But we’re different from the other providers. My goal in this article is to tell you why we could be the right fit for your homeschool needs. Then you decide if we’re the right homeschool provider one for you.

The right “fit”?

Yup. You are as unique and special as your child. You are the focus of our homeschool program because you will plan and implement the program. Also, homeschool shouldn't be a separate thing from life or parenting. When we are aware that our child is constantly learning from us and our actions, then learning isn’t just in “school”. Learning is in everyday interactions with the world, and with you, the parent. At the end of the day, you should feel comfortable working with the homeschool program you’ve chosen. We’re hoping that we’re the right fit for you and your lifestyle.

We always say that our homeschool program isn’t for everyone, but it could be the program that sings to you. Here are three reasons why we could be the homeschool provider for you.

We trust you.

If you choose to homeschool your child, we trust that you will educate your child in the best way possible. No shortcuts, no half-baked efforts. You want what’s best for your child, and so do we. A parent will do their best to learn and grow with their child in this homeschool journey and we have faith in that. We have faith in you.

We support you.

You know your child best. So we want to help you become a better parent-teacher. BLC is made up of parent-teachers, support staff, educators, and BLC alumni who have dedicated their time and skills into helping children learn and grow up with self awareness and competence. We’ve been where you are. We got you.

We are flexible.

Our Blended program is a personalized face-to-face group program that meets most days of the week, so we know that learning isn’t always a straight line. Sometimes, to learn a new concept, you have to go back a bit, down a bit, or go sideways before mastery kicks in. Sometimes, a skill is only mastered after several years or it can happen in a day.

When you start homeschooling and you feel stuck or things aren’t going smoothly, we get it. We know that there are different ways to approach a topic and the learning pace will be different for each child.

For example:

  • We’ve had some students who can finish their science topics faster but can’t seem to get past 2 or three topics in Filipino.

  • Is your child kinesthetic? Does he/she have to jump rope to learn to skip count? Does your child need more time learning their vocabulary, but breezes through science and math?

  • Does your child learn better in a classroom, outdoors, or in a different setting like museums?

  • Is your child book smart or does he/she learn by experiencing it with their physical senses?

  • Does your child work better alone or with friends?

Each student or child is a unique puzzle that takes time to understand. We appreciate these differences. So whatever speed or pace you use to learn a topic, go for it. We are flexible with your process and pace. We get that, and we can work with that. We want to ease the pressure of a weekly or monthly deadline in your homeschooling, but we trust that you will get the work done by the end of the school year.

are we really different?

Maybe. But we know this with certainty: Our job is to help and guide you, so you can focus on learning with your child. It’ll be fun. It’ll be memorable. We’re here for you.
